Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 October 2026
Remember Me helps you remember the names of the people you meet. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. If anything here is unclear, write to anotheroneformalek@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your Apple sign-in: Sign in with Apple gives us an id for your account that only works with Remember Me. We don't ask Apple for your name or email, and nobody else can see the id.
- Your profile: the initials or nickname you choose, your handle (like MK-47) and an optional photo. Other people on Remember Me can see these when they search for you, scan your code or see you in their friends' posts. Your real name is never required.
- The people you save: their name, an optional photo, where and when you met, a note, and who can see the entry.
- Claims, friends and blocks: invite codes, the claims you send or answer, who your friends are, and who you blocked.
- Reports you send about posts.
- Technical data: your IP address and basic request logs, kept by our hosting provider for security and to stop abuse.
We don't collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. There are no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites. We don't sell your data.
Who can see what
- Everyone you save is private by default. Only you can see them.
- If you share someone with Friends, your friends on Remember Me can see their name, photo, where you met and when. Notes are never shared.
- Friends are people who saved each other on Remember Me, or whose claim you approved.
- People who search for you can see your display name, handle and profile photo.
How we use it
We use this information to run the app: to sign you in, store and sync the people you save, show your friends what you share, handle claims, keep the service safe, look into reports, and answer support requests.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run Remember Me, and they only process data on our behalf:
- Vercel runs our servers and Neon hosts our database, in the European Union.
- Apple runs Sign in with Apple under its own privacy policy.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.
Photos of other people
Ask before you take or share someone's photo. If you appear in a photo or entry someone shared and you want it removed, report it in the app or write to anotheroneformalek@gmail.com and we will look into it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete any person you saved at any time. To delete your account, open the app, go to You, then Settings, then Delete account. This removes your profile, the people you saved, your photos, claims and friendships from our servers right away. Backups, if any, expire within 30 days. People who saved your name keep their own entry, no longer linked to your account.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. On your phone it is stored with iOS data protection, and your sign-in token is kept in the iOS Keychain.
Children
Remember Me is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can see, correct and delete your data in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or ask a question about it by writing to anotheroneformalek@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law may give you more rights, and we will honor them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
